Intuition: Eye of the Storm

Intuition is accessible in quietude, in solitude, in what I call the ‘Eye of the Storm.’ Obviously, real tornadoes and hurricanes are destructive events; I am using this image as a metaphor. If your life is unbalanced and out of control then the results will be destructive. If your life is balanced, then the results will be beneficial.

This is what a well-balanced storm might look like:

What I mean by “Eye of the Storm” is that center from which each of us witnesses all and everything. If the powerful winds of the outer hurricane are one’s ‘actual’ life, one’s doings out in the world, then the vacuum at the center of the hurrricane is consciousness itself, sans contents. If the outer hurricane is Zorba–passionate, engaged, sensual, then the inner hurricane–dispassionate, disengaged, unmoved–is Buddha.

Breath is more than personal healthcare, more than an access to meditation. Breath is an access to intuition. Trust the authority of your own experience, your own intuition.
